ABOUT ARF SEPA
The Animal Rescue Foundation of Southeastern Pennsylvania is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the welfare of companion pets. Our goal is a day when every adoptable pet has a loving home.
ARF SEPA volunteers routinely patrol public shelters that must euthanize pets due to overcrowding. Rescued pets receive complete veterinary care and reside with a foster family until adopted into a permanent, loving home – as long as that takes. ARF SEPA does not euthanize animals to create space for new ones.
We also provide community programs, from a mobile low-cost spay/neuter van, to our AniMeals program that provides free food to Meals-On-Wheels participants. ARF SEPA is a resource for the community, whether you are adopting a puppy or a senior, or you’re looking to us for advice with your new companion pet. ARF SEPA is an all-volunteer organization that utilizes a foster home network to house pets versus a traditional shelter building. This keeps administrative costs very low. We have no salaries to pay and little to no overhead expenses. Funding directly benefits homeless and at-risk pets. ARF SEPA is a private nonprofit organization and not part of any other shelter, SPCA or group. We rely solely on donations from the public.
